Lymphatic Massage

Service Details

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) targets trapped fluid, swelling, and metabolic sluggishness. By combining light-touch MLD with targeted tissue decompression, we help your body clear stagnant fluid, ease heavy limbs, and restore a deep sense of whole-body lightness.

If your body feels heavy, puffy, or sluggish, your lymphatic system likely needs manual support. This treatment is ideal if you experience:

  • Heavy Legs & Swollen Ankles: Lower limbs that feel heavy by afternoon or leave deep, red lines from socks and waistbands.

  • Persistent Bloating & Facial Puffiness: Morning fluid retention in the face, or midsection tightness that feels like trapped water rather than fat.

  • Stubborn Cellulite Appearance: Fluid pushing against tight fascia, making skin dimpling look more pronounced.

  • Post-Surgical Swelling: Trauma or fluid buildup following procedures (C-Section, SmartLipo, Abdominoplasty, or general surgery).

  • Sedentary Desk Fatigue: Long hours of sitting where natural muscle-pumping of lymph has stalled.

Unlike standard beauty clinics that rely on aggressive mechanical rolling or wood tools, we treat your lymphatic system with clinical precision:

  • Certified Expertise: Formally trained and iTEC/VTCT Skills (UK) certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, applying precise anatomical techniques to ensure safe, effective fluid clearance.
  • Drainage + Decompression: We combine classic light-touch MLD to move fluid toward lymph nodes with subtle fascia release to clear space for fluid to actually flow.

  • Cellulite & Tissue Smoothing: Releasing trapped water reduces the internal pressure pushing against your skin structure, restoring a smoother contour.

  • Zero Aggressive Pain: We work with your nervous system. Gentle, rhythmic pumping yields far better long-term drainage than harsh deep pressure that causes tissue defense.

Let’s be entirely realistic about expectations:

  • Water Weight vs. Fat Tissue: MLD targets trapped fluid and inflammation, not adipose (fat) tissue. However, losing trapped fluid frequently translates to visible volume loss around the waist, thighs, and ankles.

  • Amplifies Nutrition & Gym Efforts: Stagnant fluid carries metabolic waste and chronic low-grade inflammation. Draining this fluid creates a cleaner environment for your body to process fat and reveal muscle definition.

  • Immediate vs. Lasting Results: You will feel lighter right off the table. Lasting structural changes and firmer skin texture appear after a consistent series of sessions.

To achieve real, lasting clearance, we recommend a 3-week jumpstart followed by ongoing upkeep:

  • Session 1 (Unplugging the Drain): Focused MLD to accelerate flow and assess your body’s unique response. (Includes a brief 15-minute consultation for first-timers).

  • Session 2 (Decompression & Cupping): As initial tissue inflammation subsides, we introduce gentle cupping to target deep abdominal nodes and persistent leg dimpling.

  • Session 3 (Advanced Clearance & Combo): Full structural clearance. Ideal for combining with a therapeutic back focus in a 100' or 120' session.

  • Monthly Maintenance: Scheduled monthly sessions thereafter to keep the progress and prevent fluid from accumulating again.

  • Post-Op Protocol: If you are undergoing post-surgery treatment, plan for 5–8 shorter sessions (or follow the specific schedule recommended by your surgeon) for optimal recovery.

  • Post-Operative Care: We work around altered structural pathways post-C-Section or cosmetic surgery. We recommend 2–3 sessions before surgery and resuming 3 weeks post-op (or per surgeon approval).

  • Bruising & Sensitivity: MLD itself does not cause bruising. However, water-logged tissue is naturally inflamed and sensitive. We communicate constantly to stay within your comfort zone as sensitivity decreases over time.

  • Varicose Veins: Spider veins are fine. For pronounced varicose veins, we work around the area and unblock upstream pathways. Strict contraindication: Active or high risk of thrombosis/DVT cannot be treated.

Choosing your session length depends on your specific goals and whether you want to combine treatments:

  • 60 min (Maintenance & Post-Op): Best for a targeted maintenance session or a series of shorter post-operation treatments. Focuses on the primary fluid channels across the arms, abdomen, and legs.

  • 90 min (Full Body Clearance): Our standard recommendation. Covers the face, arms, abdomen, and legs, with enough time to work from side and back angles. Alternatively, you can swap the facial focus for 20–30 minutes of targeted back massage.

  • 100 min & 120 min (The Combo Reset): Gives ample time for full-body lymphatic drainage plus deep customization—such as integrating therapeutic back work for muscle tightness or specialized scar tissue therapy. Perfect when your body needs more than just fluid clearance.
